Networking

Through the biomina network, we aim to unite researchers and clinicians in the Antwerp region across institutional and departmental borders. Biomina intends to foster an ecosystem in which people from diverse disciplines easily reach out to each other with specific challenges and opportunities.
This is accomplished through a number of digital and real life initiatives.
Biomina lunch talk series: a monthly lunch talk seminar, organised by PhD students, aimed at researchers and clinicians, covering a wide range of topics. Registration is required and free for institutional members. More info.
Biomina research day: the biomina research day is an event in which members of the network are meeting to exchange their challenges and progress. It offers a combination of key note talks from field authorities, research talks from members in the network and a poster session that provides a friendly platform for everyone to present what they are doing.
Biomina communication channels: biomina members communicate their daily challenges and activities through the dedicated Slack channel. Institutional members are welcome to join. Contact us to get an invite.
Biomina is also well connected to relevant stakeholders. It members are, among others, actively involved or connected to following units and initiatives:
- ELIXIR BE: Biomina unites the Antwerp region in representing its interests in the Belgian node of the European ELIXIR initiative, which unites life science data infrastructures.

- Antwerp center for Proteomics (CFP)
